Most Incredible Story I've Heard in a Long Time

I found this post at Just a Car Guy.  Click on the link for more info.

How much you wanna bet that Chrysler made hemi flathead Ford engines?

Take a look at that!  Notice the four exhaust ports and spark plugs on the top of the heads?  That indicates that this is indeed a hemi engine.
But wait, it's a flathead Ford. Hemi means overhead valves in a hemispherical combustion chamber.  Flathead means in block valves, which rules out having a hemispherical combustion chamber.  How can it be both?  It can't, but it is.

What  it really is, is a flat head Ford engine block with hemi heads installed. This means it is only a flat head in terms of from what engine family the motor originated.  It is actually a hemi engine, not a flathead engine.
