The Grudge Report

Attention other bloggers: I don't care if you steal this idea, if fact I fully support you doing so.  Go ahead, do it, or pass the idea along to someone you think will.  Whatever it takes to identify the  enemies within our ranks.

By now, it should be clear to everyone that Donald Trump has the best chance of any Republican candidate of winning the 2016 presidential election.

Is Trump perfect?  No.  But he is our best chance to prevent the election of another Democrat as president.  That is the only thing should matter to any conservative.

Trump may have said some things in the past that second amendment supporters do not agree with, but he hasn't said anything about increasing gun control during his campaign.  I can't prove it, but I doubt that if he would turn around and try to take rights away from the very people who helped him get elected.  No matter what happens, he will be much friendlier to gun owners than either Hillary or Bernie.

So here's your choices:

  • gun owners - Trump or the Democrat?
  • free market advocates - Trump or the Democrat?
  • smaller government proponents - Trump or the Democrat?
  • anti-Obama care voters - Trump or the Democrat?
  • Pro-lifers - Trump or the Democrat?
  • lower taxes crowd - Trump or the Democrat?
  • pro-business people - Trump or the Democrat?
  • balanced budget proponents - Trump or the Democrat?
  • people for a strong America - Trump or the Democrat?
  • anti-illegal immigration folks - You only have one choice
and if you really care about any of the above issues, you really only have one choice because the Democratic candidate (whoever that may be) will be against you.

This is why we need to remember people like the ones below who claim to be conservative, but rally against conservative's best hope, using arguments that just don't hold water when you look at what Trump has said during his campaign.

If Trump doesn't win the Republican nomination, and ultimately the presidential election it will be at least in part, due to people like these:

Candidate Trump Will Soon Become

One of the ‘Losers’ He Constantly Mocks

by GEORGE WILL September 26, 2015 8:00 PM @GEORGEWILLF America’s loopy Left is enamored of someone who becomes cranky about bobblehead figurines. Sober Democrats are queasy about nominating Hillary Clinton, who has much to apologize for but no aptitude for apologies. Those Republicans who hope she is denied the nomination are perhaps imprudent. And even Republicans who recoil from Donald Trump’s repulsiveness might want to defer the delicious pleasure of witnessing his apoplexy when he joins, as surely he will, the ranks of those he most despises — “losers.”

Donald Trump Is Not Just A Clown, He’s A Liberal Anti-Gun Clown

The big joke Tuesday was that comb-over reality TV star Donald Trump announced that he’s running for president in 2016 as a Republican. As if it isn’t funny enough that he’s given hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Democratic Party and the Clinton Foundation, he also said he wants Oprah Winfrey as his VP. And just in case you aren’t convinced of his conservative credentials, it turns out he’s left quite a liberal footprint of anti-gun, pro-abortion, redistribution of wealth, Obam-esque socialism.
Right now, we are closer than ever to being able to fix what's wrong with our country, and this may very well be our last chance.  If we lose this chance, we should remember everyone who had a hand in making us lose it.

I'm going to start keeping track of everyone who claims to be a conservative, but bashes Trump.  I sincerely hope that some blog with a much bigger audience and more resources than mine steals this idea and runs with it.  In the meantime, I would appreciate all of you either leaving a comment on any of my posts or dropping me an email ( and letting me know of any conservative, bloggers, pundits, etc. who fit the description with a quick description of their Trump bashing.

I making a list called "The Grudge Report" and hope to have a quick link to it on my blog home page ASAP.  When it comes to things like this, ASAP could mean weeks, maybe even months, but I will get it done.  In the meantime, send me the names of all of the "conservatives" you know of that are ripping on Trump.

Next year, we can either laugh at them and tell them they were wrong, or blame them for our inevitable fall into the abyss.

  1. I like Trump. I like what he has to say. I like that he stands up to the Left Leaning Liberal Media. But I believe he is a businessman first last and always. When the the price is right, he will sell(out)!

    1. You are 100% correct. Donald Trump does what's good for Donald Trump. There is little doubt that if he wins the Presidency, his business interests will "coincidentally" benefit. However, at this point in time, it appears that what's good for his business interests is also what's good for America. Who can say if he will ever sell out, but I imagine that he is much less susceptible to selling out than any of the people he is or will be running against.
