Netanyahu urges Jews to move to Israel after Copenhagen attacks

Jerusalem (AFP) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday urged European Jews to move to Israel after a Jewish man was killed in an attack outside Copenhagen's main synagogue.

"Israel is your home. We are preparing and calling for the absorption of mass immigration from Europe," Netanyahu said in a statement, repeating a similar call after attacks by jihadists in Paris last month when four Jews were among the dead.

OK, lets say that you are a Jew living in Europe.  What would be the worst thing about that?

That's easy.  All the anti-Semitism, right?  What could you do about it?  Move from some place where maybe 20% percent of the people don't like you and attacks against you and your people are rare enough to make world news headlines, to a place where you are surrounded by people who want to kill you and attacks are so common that they often only make the local news?  What sense does that make?

If you want to defend and fight for Israel, fine, but as far as your own safety is concerned, I would have to imagine that Europe is safer than Israel.

Am I wrong about this?  If so, someone drop a note and explain to me why.

  1. With the rate of Muslim immigration and the high birth rate, if I were a Jew I would get the hell out of Europe as soon as possible. Europe has a long history of anti semitism, Not just during the Nazi era and not just in Germany.

    1. Yeah, but (at least right now), it's gotta be better than Israel, which is surrounded by Muslim countries, right?

    3. I bet that if you lived in predominately Jewish neighborhood, your day to day interaction with people would be more pleasant, but what about Hamas shooting all those rockets and shit at you?

    1. Absolutely! The USA and Canada are the best places in the world for anyone who is willing to follow the rules (not Obama's rules) concerning immigration, and all our other laws too.

  3. Hmmmmm. I don't think you're wrong...but I don't know if you are right either.

Pre-Nazi Germany was indifferent to Jews or mildly disapproving. In a couple short years they went from that to concentration camps, ovens and ghastly medical experiments and the industrialized slaughter of captive human beings. Today much of Europe is now openly socialist rather than fascist - and they killed more Jews than the fascists did. Add that to the swarms of fig farming goat felching moslems swarming into Europe...they now have three very, very powerful enemies. If the balloon goes up in Europe they will be dead before they can even fire a shot. Those that do will be punished. Hell, they are now.

In Israel they do have to put up with terrorism but Israelis aren't terrified by it. Many openly carry full auto machine guns and pistols, and if some yodeling mudflap start ululating and spraying gunfire at civilians - unless he is really lucky the return gunfire will send him to pick his 72 raisins in seconds. Once the perp is ID'd - the IDF may just roll into his former neighborhood with tanks, bull dozers, and maybe the odd airstrike for good measure. Israelis know how to handle moslem morons. Speaking of whom - most of them have their hands full understanding the workings of the modern flush toilet. They have tried Israel before, and each time they did the loss was total, complete, and devastating.

Bottom line is this: the Europe we see today may not (and probably will not) be the Europe we see five years from now. Not only are they seething with mud hutters, commies, and fascists...their economy is about to capsize. Add to that powder keg: Putin is smart, ruthless and ambitious. Obama is a token coloured moron and a weakling even worse than Jimmeh Carduh was.

I will bet money Israel is still there 10 years from now. If I had a family with young ones...well...I would think Israel would be a better bet, and prudence bids that you distance yourself from stupid people long before they do what comes naturally to them. When they cause upheavals, the rat of change goes from very slow to exponential. If you leave it too long getting out might not be an option.

I dunno what I would do...

    1. What you say is true, but I think very quickly, most of the hate in Europe will be directed towards the Muslims and there won't be much left to be directed towards the Jews. Native Europeans are going to (either consciously or unconsciously), "Who is a threat to me?" "Who truly means me harm?" The answer to these questions will be so obvious that even the (non-Muslim) people who are the most predisposed to be anti-Semitic will realize that they can't afford to waste time or any other resource, actively hating Jews. Once that happens anti-Semitism in Europe will all but disappear until the Muslim problem is neutralized. There is no chance anything like that will ever happen in the Middle East. Every year, Israel's position becomes a little more precarious, and there is no sign of this ever reversing.
