One Thing We Got Going for Us

Perhaps you may have noticed that I have said nothing about the upcoming elections.  The reason for that is, I couldn’t think of anything to say that hasn’t already been said elsewhere.  All I can come with is this:  I hope the conservative candidates win.

Whatever will happen tomorrow, will happen tomorrow, and by Thursday, be yesterday’s news, so I think I will focus on something a little further down the road.

I’m sure you all have noticed that the only way the left responds to criticism of Obama, is to accuse who ever is doing the criticizing of being racist.  That of course, is because they have no logical or factual way of defending Obama. If they did, they might still accuse the critic of being racist, but that would be followed that up with reasonably logical argument to the contrary.  The same will be true with Hillary, only the word “racist” will be replaced with “sexist”.

All this got me to thinking, “What if Obama was white, and what if Hillary was a male?  What would the lefties do then, when met with criticism of their current favorite politician?  It’s been such a long time since they’ve used logical arguments to support candidates and elected officials, that they may have forgotten how.  They might just stand there and hem and haw.

Because of this, there is a very real chance that the Democrats will never nominate a white male candidate for president again.  At least not in the very near future.  How will they be able to defend a candidate, if they can’t cry racism or sexism?  There’s more.  I can’t think of a white male as far to the left as Obama or Hillary, that would be likeable enough to win.  Do you think Harry Reid or Al Franken could win a presidential election?

The Democrats just might be stuck (for lack of a better word) with running either a female or ethnic minority candidate for some time to come, and this could end up being a big disadvantage for them.

Now don’t think that I am bashing women or minorities here.  There are plenty of intelligent politicians that are female and/or part of some ethnic minority...

...but they are all conservatives.
