As Belgium's capital and host to the EU and Nato, Brussels is used to deploying heavy security when big names pop by. But US PresidentBarack Obama's visit on Tuesday will strain the city like never before with €10m (£8.4m) of Belgian money being spent to cover his 24 hours in the country.

  1. Obama better visit Europe now because when he leaves office he will be on the same war criminal list as George W. Bush and won't be allowed to leave the country because of fear of arrest. Obama has killed alot of people in drone attacks including children of all ages. Their families want justice and their day in court.

    1. I am amazed at how many people at LIBERAL sites say this same thing. I'm surprised that his approval ratings are as high as they are. Conservatives never liked him, but it looks like more and more liberals are becoming dissatisfied as well.

  2. With a security entourage that large it seems the fool is afraid. He must know how many people hate him.

    1. I think it's time to step back and ask ourselves," Are these Presidential Visits to other countries really worth it?" No matter who is the president. Especially in this age of instant communications. When you combine the costs and exposure to risk, it's just not worth it. U.S. presidents didn't travel to other countries before Theodore Roosevelt. I suppose we could stop it, just as easily as we started it.

    1. The only positive is Obama is taking us to rock bottom faster than we would have gone with Romney, just sooner we can start over.

    2. It really is surprising. Remember Carter? He may not have been the greatest president either, but at least he didn't try to be "in your face" to the American People when times were tough. I know that these were just symbolic gestures, but remember how Carter turned the thermostat down in the White House? Remember how his wife wore old dresses? People ripped on them for that back them, but that was a lot less wearing on me than what the Obama's are doing.

    3. While Obama golfs every week, takes extravagant vacations, wipes his ass with 100$ bills, he tells people to cancel their cell phone and cable so they can afford the increase in costs to their health insurance, that is more expensive because of his AFFORDABLE care act. Just the fact that congress does not impeach this criminal makes them just as guilty as he is. EVERYTHING this POS does hurts this country, he is not just a traitor but an enemy combatant and should be treated as such. He belongs in Gitmo.

    5. Have you seen that video of the little cartoon guy typing? He starts out normal, then puts a little more into it, finally banging on the keys so hard his arms fall off. No arms? No problem, he just starts using his head until his eyes pop out. THAT'S me! The running joke around here is my husband saying, "Don't blog angry", and then me saying, "Are you kidding me?" Almost a daily occurrence. Lord, I despise these people.

    6. Yes, I am familiar with it. On the bright side, it's not hard to think of things to write about.
