Well, I hope Neil Young will remember

A Southern (or Northern, Western, Eastern, or any other region) man don't need him around anyhow.

Neil Young Blasts Keystone XL

Neil Young says the Keystone XL oil pipeline is a “terrible idea” that won’t benefit anyone,Bloomberg reports.
Said Young: “This fuel is all going to China, which is probably the dirtiest place on the planet.”
“Young, who formed his first bands in the city and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, is on tour to raise money for the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, which is fighting to stop oil-sands expansion on their traditional lands. His tour comes as President Barack Obama’s government weighs whether to approve TransCanada’s $5.4 billion link between Alberta’s oil sands and the U.S. Gulf Coast as production in the province surges.”

But this is kinda funny.

Hybrid car converted by Neil Young sparks fire that causes £690,000 of damage in memorabilia warehouse

Neil Young's hybrid car caused a fire that destroyed much of his memorabilia and caused over $1million in damages.
The blaze at a San Francisco Bay area warehouse where the veteran musician stored memorabilia started in a vintage automobile he had converted into a hybrid vehicle in a much publicised project to promote fuel-efficiency, authorities said.
Belmont-San Carlos Fire Marshal Jim Palisi told the San Mateo County Times that the November 9 fire began in Young's 1959 Lincoln Continental convertible and spread to the warehouse.
Neil Young (left), pictured in September with producer Daniel Lanois, converted the 1959 Lincoln Continental to run on electric batteries and a biodiesel-powered generator
Fire crews were able to save about 70 per cent of the 10,000-square-foot (3,050-meter) building's contents, including other vintage cars, guitars and framed photos belonging to Young.
The blaze caused an estimated $850,000 in damage to Young's possessions and damaged his car, dubbed the LincVolt. The building suffered another $250,000 in damage, Palisi said.
No one was injured.
Young had converted the car to run on batteries and a biodiesel-powered generator as part of a project to create the world's most efficient full-size vehicle.
The warehouse fire caused over $1million in damages. Even so, Young has promised to rebuild the hybrid car that started the blaze
The white, 20ft long, 5,000lb car's journey from gas guzzler to hybrid was chronicled on the website LincVolt.com and in a four-part film series.
The website also allowed people to track the vehicle's vital statistics, including its speed, on its various trips.
In a statement released yesterday, Young blamed the fire on human error and said he and his team were committed to rebuilding the car.
'The wall charging system was not completely tested and had never been left unattended. A mistake was made. It was not the fault of the car,' he said.

Now, they say that you’re not supposed to laugh at other people’s misfortune, and I am not laughing.  OK, you got me, I am.

Update:  Holy Cow!  I owe everyone an apology.  I wrote a post about Neil Young, and nowhere did I use the words “Sucks” or “Stupid”.  How negligent of me.  I will try to rectify this in the near future.

  1. What a waste of a fine car. What a waste of a fine talent a long time back. Stupid douchetards like Young are a menace to society.

Shame on you for not using at least STUPID. I forgive you, just this once.

    1. I'm sorry, but don't worry, I made up for it in my next post.

  2. Man, that sucks! What a stupid idiot! Perhaps Young should not be around nor comment on things he knows nothing about. Cars OR pipelines!

    1. If he did that, everyone would think he was a mute.

    2. And that would be bad if he was mute/ Only pipeline he knows is the heroin pipeline that almost took him out.

    3. Patriot - Like most liberals, Young does not understand that the poor judgement he used in the past, disqualifies him from having any credibility in the present, or future.

  3. How big is his carbon footprint after the fire. I guess he could have converted it to run on diesil and we would all be ahead.

    1. Even BEFORE the fire, I guarantee that his carbon footprint is much larger than any of ours, flying around in jet planes, big fancy houses, and all the typical liberal celebrity crap. Just the CO2 produced with every breath as he spews some hypocritical, liberal bullshit, is greater than that produced by two coal fired power plants.
